If they outgrow it (or it never fit)

Returns happen for honest reasons: the corner was smaller than the tape measure claimed, the tenant grew ambitions, the color war was lost. All roads back run through Amazon, and they differ by scenario — here are the three that actually occur.

Scenario one: unopened, wrong size

The easy one. Flat-pack boxes that stay sealed sail through Amazon's standard return window — Your Orders, pick the item, drop the parcel or hand over a code, refund on scan. Order the right footprint with the lesson learned; the measuring guide in the stairwell notes helps.

Scenario two: assembled, then reconsidered

Panels disassemble by hand back to flat, which keeps this scenario more possible than most furniture regret. Repack cleanly and check the listing's return line first — household goods in resellable condition are commonly accepted, but marketplace sellers may run tighter terms than Amazon's default, and used-condition deductions exist. The listing's word beats this page's.

Scenario three: damaged or short-shipped
